Getting Around Menus, or simply Menus, are a WordPress theme feature that allows users to create navigation menus using the built-in Menu Editor found under Appearance » Menus in the WordPress admin area.
Because WordPress supports multiple menus, a theme can support multiple navigational menus (for example, header and footer menus). The default menu will only show you the most recent WordPress Pages. Drag and drop functionality allows users to add posts, pages, and custom links to a menu. Theme designers can use navigation menus to allow users to create their own custom menus. Users can also add CSS classes to their menu items and use custom styles to change their appearance.
Widgets can be used to display custom navigation menus in other areas of a WordPress site, such as the sidebars and footer.
Menus with Dynamic Navigation
Hooks and filters in WordPress can also be used to dynamically add items to menus.
